VOLUNTEERS

Pre-Event Set-up Off Site – Many tasks begin days, even weeks before the event; signage must be posted around town, fliers distributed to various retail establishments and training for event day activities. VIP packets need to be delivered to Sponsors and Partners.
Pre-Event Set-up On Site – Prior to opening the gates to the public, signage must be hung on special fencing and boards, setting up admin, ATM and other booths. These tasks will take place the week of, the day before and the morning of event day.
Booth Workers – Sales of beer, wine, soft drinks and water are essential to the success of this charity endeavor. Volunteers are needed at multiple shifts for both festival days.
KidsZone – Shifts of team workers can assist with games, monitoring children in the bouncy house and belaying ropes on the climbing wall, as well as taking tickets for rides.
Runners – The role of a runner is to move supplies to and from booths and assist in any task required for the safe production of the BBQFest.
Tear-Down – When the event is over we need “All Hands On Deck”. Clean-up and tear-down begins at 11:05pm Saturday night and picks up again at 9am Sunday morning. Included is the removal of signs, tables & chairs, rolling up special fencing, takedown of canopies and removing supplies & materials to or from the event operations HQ. Our goal continues to be that the Square at Union Centre look like “we were never there” by 2pm Sunday.
